Akari, through the Kabayan Special Patrol segment on TV Patrol, once again answered the call of providing solar-powered LED lanterns to another community with no access to electricity. This time, 200 families from Brgy. Kuya, Sitio Benuan, South Upi Maguindanao benefitted from Noli de Castro’s program aiming to reach out to far flung schools and communities deprived of electricity.
With Akari’s donation, Brgy. Kuya stands to benefit from the LED rechargeable lanterns that can be powered though solar charging. Along with Kabayan, Akari is hopeful that this will ignite the students’ persistence to education despite the circumstances.
